Contributing Authors
Sarah Wurrey serves as an account manager for CustomScoop’s professional services division, responsible for creating BuzzPerception reports, which track messages and trends in the blogosphere for Fortune 500 clients. Aside from regular contributions to CustomScoop’s blog, she also serves as editor of PR Blog Jots, a daily rundown of conversations from top public relations and marketing blogs. Sarah has an extensive history in politics, public affairs and public relations. Prior to joining CustomScoop, she held positions at top Washington public affairs firm DCI Group, working on campaigns for a variety of top tier corporate clients before taking over management of the internal writing team. In this role, Sarah supervised a large team of writers producing materials for client campaigns, and served as a writer-editor for DCI’s public relations division, responsible for editing and approving all outgoing materials. Sarah received her BA in Political Science in 2001 from George Washington University, located in Washington, D.C.

Jen White is vice president of Products and Services for CustomScoop, driving product development plans to better meet the needs of public relations and marketing professionals. In addition, Jen oversees new, high-end media analysis offerings, including BuzzPerception Reports, which track messages and trends in the blogosphere for Fortune 500 clients. Jen has an extensive background in government and public relations. She previously held the position of senior account executive at Fleishman-Hillard, serving in the Public Affairs practice group at the firm's St. Louis headquarters, working with clients on regulatory, grassroots, and word-of-mouth marketing programs. Prior to joining Fleishman-Hillard, she served as a lobbyist and research director for the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Jen received a B.A. in Political Science from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.

Ryan O’Rourke serves as a project manager in CustomScoop’s professional services division. Along with his regular duty as author of BuzzPerception reports for Fortune 500 companies interested in monitoring blog activity, Ryan is a contributor to CustomScoop’s blog, and maintains CustomScoop’s Tech Jots, a daily look at key technology discussions in the blogosphere. Ryan has more than a decade of experience managing online political and advocacy efforts, most recently with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC. Ryan received his BA in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire in 1999.
